ABOUT US

Camino de Paz Montessori Secondary School and Farm is a land-based, academic community currently serving grades 7-12. Our mission is to support adolescents as emerging adults with pathways to meaningful work and real-world engagement as they develop skills, perspectives, and competencies that prepare them to address contemporary local and global challenges.

We challenge each learner academically, socially and spiritually through inquiry-based scholarship, creative expression, and manual work that incorporate values of cultural diversity and preservation, local economies, service and social justice.

Based on Maria Montessori’s Erdkinder philosophy, we are dedicated to meeting the specific developmental needs of the young adolescent. During these critical years of rapid physical, emotional and social changes, these young adults need an environment in which they can engage their intellect, spirit, hands and bodies.

2023-2024
Time to take a break to regroup and build capacity.

Camino de Paz has suspended its enrollment of students for the 2023-2024 acacemic year.
This break enables us to improve our environment, focus on our learning programs, restructure our operations and expand  our search for both students and staff.
In the meantime, please enjoy scenes from our past 20 years!

Camino de Paz Secondary School’s curriculum is fully integrated with the activities of Camino de Paz's school and farm. Both provide an environment in which students are able to:

Improve academic achievement through

hands-on, experiential learning;

Camino de Paz provides a healthy and relevant   alternative to screen learning.

Camino de Paz will not be enrolling students for the 2023-2024 School Year
